I have spent seven years building financial products with technology, six of them at HSBC and Goldman Sachs, and I now lead AI product work at Motilal Oswal in Mumbai.
I started at HSBC in July 2018, on card payments. I built the backend card authorisation for Samsung Pay and Apple Pay in Singapore and Vietnam, led two engineers on COVID-19 hardship tooling across India, Indonesia and Malaysia, and ran first-line support for card operations across twelve countries.
I joined Goldman Sachs in March 2021 as a Senior Analyst on US deposits and personal loans, as sole implementation point of contact for fraud and compliance on a portfolio of $10-15B. The largest piece of work there was migrating around 150,000 lines of decision logic from FICO to Provenir in six months with a team of four, which ended $10M a year in licensing.
From December 2022 to March 2024 I was an Associate on Apple Card, where I implemented the credit and fraud strategies that decided every application, as final owner of the production decision layer.
I read for an MBA at IIM Ahmedabad on the one-year PGPX programme, finishing in March 2025, and joined Motilal Oswal that April as a Senior Manager. My work there has been on StratX, the firm’s in-house algorithmic F&O trading platform: an AI co-pilot for fund managers, a natural-language layer for placing option strategies, a Model Context Protocol server, and before those, quant work on signal generation. There is more detail on each of those under work.
Before all of it, I read Computer Engineering at Thapar, finishing in 2018, and wrote my final-year project on solving maths word problems with natural language processing and deep learning. I am a Certified Scrum Product Owner and a Certified SAFe 6.0 Agilist.
Some things I am glad about: a national finals place at the AI-Infinity Hackathon in 2025, recognition from Goldman’s Risk Committee for a fraud policy overhaul, and reaching the CodeGrind semi-finals at HSBC two years running.
I am a deliberate generalist. I write the PRD, argue the architecture, ship the code, and sit in the compliance review. I do my best work next to capable people who do not need managing.
I also sing. I trained in Hindustani classical music and represented my state at All India Radio, and I was lead vocalist of the IIM Ahmedabad band, which won first place at the national Inter-IIM competition.
